Given everything that has happened this year our plans haven't changed, just shifted.
In June I (Rebekah) was asked to teach English as a Second Language (ESL) virtually to the Students of St. Peter's School. It's been amazing to have the opportunity to build relationships with the students and to be able to get a taste of what is to come when we're there with them. I've learned that Indian students are not much different than students here in the US, they crave genuine relationships and most of them feel they live in a different world than that of their parents. In my high school class I've been deemed the "cool" teacher and with that has come many of them opening up about personal struggles and a lot of deep conversation.
St. Peter's School has been closed due to the lockdown since the beginning of their school year in June but they've moved to virtual teaching for all of their classes and are hoping the Indian government will open up more in the near future and allow students to return to physical classes while we are also praying for the borders to open back up as well.
Thank you for your prayers and support!
