My name is Ezra Nelson, and I was born and raised in Port Charlotte, Florida — a Pastor's Kid who grew up watching faith lived out at the dinner table, in the pulpit, and everywhere in between.
Â
After graduating high school in 2023, I moved with my family to Palm Bay, and it was there that God made something undeniably clear: I was called to preach and teach the Gospel of Jesus Christ. That call led me to complete the Church of God's Calling and Ministry Studies (CAMS) program, and to take the next step of sitting for my Exhorter's Exam — which I passed in March 2024, making me a licensed minister in the Church of God.
Â
Today, I am a junior at Southeastern University in Lakeland, Florida — walking that calling out one day at a time. My life is my ministry. I don't see a separation between who I am in the pulpit and who I am in the classroom, on campus, or in my community. I am called to live as a missionary in every relationship and every role — to be exactly who God uniquely made me to be, and to let that be enough.
Â
That conviction led me to found Crowned Voices at Southeastern University — a Christ-centered community rooted in African heritage, created to welcome and educate all students as one body through the blood of Christ, growing together in faith, leadership, and purpose.
Â

Beyond campus, I serve as a State Youth Board Member through the Church of God's Florida State Office in Cocoa, investing in the next generation of young believers across the state. At my home church, Abundant Life Church of God, I serve as a mentor and role model for the young men in our congregation and contribute to our youth ministry.
Â
Whether I am on a board, in a mentorship session, or leading a student gathering — my heart is always toward the youth and young adult generation. They are my people, and I am committed to walking alongside them. John 3:30 anchors everything I do — "He must increase, but I must decrease." The more I get out of the way, the more God gets the glory. That's the posture I carry into every mission trip, every seminar, and every conversation.
Â
Your partnership — both in prayer and in financial giving — makes it possible for me to travel, grow, learn, and be sent out to serve. Connection, accountability, and teamwork are how I do what I do best, and I believe that the people who stand with me are just as much a part of this mission as I am.
Â
If you feel led to join me, I want you to know — this isn't just financial support. This is relationship. This is you and I, together, decreasing so that He may increase.
Â
Thank you for considering being a part of what God is doing through this season of my life.
Â
To God be all the glory.
Ezra
