Hi everyone!
My name is Eden Higginbottom and I am currently serving on staff with YWAM Ships in Papua New Guinea!
The Lord placed mission work on my heart when I was young, but it was in college that my heart for missions truly merged with my calling for nursing. I remember the Lord planting a seed in my heart during my freshman year of college, and even in the midst of the pandemic, the Lord continued to water that seed.
In the summer following my junior year of college, I had the opportunity to intern at a mission hospital in Kenya and my passion for medical missions continued to grow. Through attending a mission conference during my final year at Colorado Christian University, I felt the Lord calling me to serve as a nurse in Papua New Guinea for two years. So after graduating and receiving my nursing license in 2023, I went on to complete my DTS and started on staff with YWAM Ships in 2024!
YWAM Ships Kona exists to serve those in isolated and remote regions of the world. The heart of our ministry is sharing the hope that is found only in Jesus. One way that we shine the love of Christ is through providing medical care to those who do not have adequate access to health care. We also have the opportunity to partner alongside other forms of ministry, including community engagement and oral Bible translation. It is such a beautiful picture of the body of Christ working together to fulfill the Great Commission!
My role throughout these two years is serving as a nurse and leading the medical teams as we set up clinics in Papua New Guinea. I am so thankful for this opportunity to serve! However, I would not able to do this without the prayers and support of those who believe in the mission of Christ. Would you prayerfully consider partnering alongside me in this ministry?

Thank you so much for your prayers, encouragement, and support! May the Lord bless you and keep you!
In Christ,
Eden
