Hello! My name is Ezra DuMont, and I am a part of Youth With A Mission (YWAM) Mazatlan. 

In YWAM, we believe that the Great Commission must come from the Great Commandment. We want all that we do, whether in missions, evangelism, or even in our lives if God calls us elsewhere, to come from a place of the greatest intimacy with the Lord our God. I took a Discipleship Training School (DTS) in Norway, not Mazatlan, and there was a phrase that came out of my own personal DTS that struck the chords of my heart, and over the course of my time in my school, it led me to fully submit the plans of my life unto God. That phrase was this:

“We will go to the ends of the earth for HIS LOVE."

And so I’m doing just that. One of YWAM’s core values is “Do first, then teach,” and so this fall (2024), I felt led by the Holy Spirit to take an internship training course called Artios that will help better prepare me to staff and serve at YWAM Mazatlan and also prepare me to live the life of missions I hear God calling me to live. After said internship, I will be serving on the staff crew at the base there, helping serve the base and all of the people on and around it. There are many opportunities and areas at this base for God to use me to sow into His Kingdom, but I know I feel called to one day staff the DTS schools that the base is running, and so that is my goal for this next upcoming season of my life.
