Hey everyone!
I just got back from my DTS, and I wanted to say a massive thank you to everyone who supported and prayed for me. Your donations honestly meant the world and made the whole trip possible.
I’m really excited to share what’s next. I am heading back to YWAM Kona to staff a specialized DTS! It’s focused on reaching surf communities in some of the most remote parts of the world, as well as sailing to remote islands that can’t otherwise be reached. This isn't just a “fun surf and sail thing”—while yes, we get to surf, the primary purpose is to reach niche communities that never get touched.
As a staff member, I’ll be discipling students one-on-one, helping them grow and learn with God, planning my team's outreach trip, and guiding them as they enter the missions world.
Here’s a quick look at how the program will break down:
SURF AND SAIL SCHOOL BREAKDOWN
Months 1–2: Leadership Training — Two months dedicated to learning how to be a better leader before the school officially kicks off.
Months 3–5: Lecture Phase — A standard three-month lecture phase, just like I did before.
Months 6–8: Outreach — Three months of outreach, where the team will be focused on both reaching surf communities and sailing to remote islands that are otherwise unreachable.
The Purpose
Just like with my DTS, this next step is way bigger than just me. It’s all about bringing glory to God, sharing hope, and letting people know what Jesus did on the cross and the incredible plans He has for them.
Mark 16:15 is still the verse I am holding onto:
“And then he told them, ‘Go into all the world and preach the Good News to everyone.’”
How You Can Pray
Your prayers are what keep me going on this journey, and they mean more to me than anything. If you think of it, please pray for a few specific things:
That I gain true wisdom and a much deeper understanding of the Word while I'm in Kona.
That I can effectively reach surf communities and share God’s love.
For financial provision as I step out in faith again.
Most importantly, that God gets all the glory through this entire experience.
Financial Support
Because this is a major commitment, things look a little different this time around. I have to cover my own day-to-day living costs, and raise support for the outreach phase (which covers flights, food, and housing on the field).
To make this happen, I need to raise about $8,000 total, or roughly $1,200 a month for the next several months.
