Donna and Renz Tormen are passionate believers in Christ with a heart to share His love wherever He leads. From serving in their home church and workplaces to stepping into cultural spaces like the Midwest regional Burning Man event, where there is darkness on all fronts, their mission is simple: to help people realize thier full identity in Christ and to bring the hope of Jesus to those who need Him most.
Most recently, Donna traveled to Thailand on an impact trip to pray with and support survivors of human trafficking. While there, the Holy Spirit moved her to return for a longer period to serve, to learn, and to bring back valuable knowledge and resources that can help combat human trafficking here at home. On this upcoming trip, she will join teams serving in the mountains of Chiang Mai and surrounding rural border towns. Their work will include healthcare, education, vocational training, and using her professional counseling skills to create safe places where survivors can experience the healing love of Jesus.
The long-term vision is to return equipped to share resources with organizations in the U.S.—educating first responders, legal teams, educators, and the wider community—so that together we can break the cycle of human trafficking.
Meanwhile, Renz will be using his skills in construction, problem solving and organization to serve as a project lead, helping repair and strengthen the infrastructure at Whispering Willow. This ministry hub includes housing, training and education centers, and a church building—all in need of repairs to better serve the people who rely on them.
To make this mission possible, Donna and Renz are seeking support both financially and through prayer. Contributions will go toward travel, housing, food, and essential ministry supplies such as construction materials, tools, and educational resources.
Your partnership—through giving and prayer—will help decrease violence against the vulnerable while increasing the reach of Jesus’ love to those who need it most.
Facts about Human Trafficking
“Human Trafficking is the recruitment, transportation, transfer, harboring or receipt of people through force, fraud or deception, with the aim of exploiting them for profit. Men, women and children of all ages and from all backgrounds can become victims of this crime, which occurs in every region of the world.
The traffickers often use violence or fraudulent employment agencies and fake promises of education and job opportunities to trick and coerce their victims.”
