Hey I am Damaris Marina Godoy — a cross-cultural missionary kid, Afro-Latina, creative, adventurer, and passionate follower of Jesus.
My mom is South African and my dad is Argentinian, with two beautiful younger sisters. I was born in Equatorial Guinea, Central Africa, and moved to South Africa when I was four. Growing up across cultures shaped my heart for people, nations, and the beautiful diversity of God’s creation.
I’m a loud, passionate Afro-Latina who loves meeting people from different cultures and backgrounds. I have a deep heart to see people encounter Jesus, walk in freedom, discover their identity, and be reached with the Gospel — often through creative and unconventional ways, because God is the ultimate Creator!
My heart beats especially for Frontier Missions, worship, performing arts, youth, sports, and, of course, coffee. I love using creativity, relationships, and whatever gifts God has placed in my hands to make Jesus known.
I’m currently living and serving in Southeast Asia with YWAM Chiang Mai, where I’m especially involved in working with young people and investing in the next generation. I’m passionate about seeing young people discipled, equipped, and released to live boldly from a place of freedom and identity in Christ.
I believe every person has a story, every nation matters to God, and every “yes” to Jesus can make a difference.
