My husband Dylan and I met in Kansas City at a house of prayer where I was doing an internship on prayer and Dylan was studying Theology at the university.

We are now a newly married couple coming from complete different backgrounds and parts of the world looking to obey God’s call to missions and give the first fruits of our marriage (the first year but also the rest of our lives) to Him. Even though it means being far from family, friends and rejecting career opportunities for a time.

In a very uncertain time, when we were asking the Lord for direction, supernaturally an opportunity to do missions in Norway opened up and we were asked to go. It took a couple months of praying and talking with family and mentors for confirmation, but in the end, we received so much clarity about how it was God’s will for us. We’d love to share more of this story to you over the phone soon!

Dylan has done short-term ministry in Norway 3 times already and the missionary base there is the first place we traveled to as a married couple after our honeymoon. We have great love for the selfless and Spirit-filled missionaries we became friends with there. We believe in this season, this is how we fulfill the commandment Jesus has given to His believers:

“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age. ” Matthew 28:19-20

We will be working for 11 months as fulltime missionaries in a missionary community called YWAM Grimerud and under The Send Norway, who will send us out in small teams all across the country to preach the Gospel and call people to live ALL IN for Jesus! Part of that will include leading prophetic worship with a team called “The Sound” as we believe in the presence of God is where there is healing and transformation. We will be serving in streets, churches, schools, and conferences.

In the first 7 months of our marriage it became evident that the House of Prayer DNA was something that we will carry as a couple wherever we go. At the end of last year Dylan and his friend were able to start a prayer room at their church which grew into a place where people encountered God and planted their roots in the Word of God by singing it and meditating on it. Anneli’s gift for leading the room and praying from the Word helped the church intercede in unity in a way the congregation had never done before.

This month, we were able to take that same DNA and serve a small house of prayer in Portugal, teaching what we learnt and serving the homeless in the city. We believe this is something we will take and teach the church in Norway as well, as well as we will help continuing to build the YWAM prayer room.
