David and Augusta Barreto have been missionaries with YWAM since 1995.

They worked in the favelas of Rio de Janeiro for 23 years, serving families through community development projects, evangelism, missionary training, and mobilization and training for evangelism during the FIFA World Cup and the Olympics.

They served seven years with YWAM Richmond, working in training, evangelism, and mobilization.

From there, they served in Turkey, Greece, Lebanon, and Mongolia, evangelizing, distributing Bibles, and helping war refugees.

Currently, they continue with YWAM in Brazil, working on missionary mobilization, focusing on family restoration and counseling couples.
