My name is Raylee and I am a 25 year old missionary in Wilmington, North Carolina who is on mission with Prayer House Ministries and is obsessed with Jesus. I am married to Cody Steward, a Marine with a tender heart for Jesus.
In 2024, after spending 5 years living in Hawaii, we moved for the military to Wilmington, North Carolina. At the time, my husband and I were agnostic/atheist and were convinced that people who believed in Jesus were actually just brainwashed.
At this time, I was pursuing a career in retail  management as an operations manager and was training for my first full marathon. At work I met a girl named Selah who started to train with me. Sometimes, we talked about how much she loves Jesus and I would ask her the hardest questions I had. On her birthday in December of that year, I watched her give her friends a hug and was radically encountered by the manifest presence of Jesus and the Fathers love. God spoke to me clearly that day and marked me as his daughter and a call to follow Jesus. I told God that If he was real and alive that he would save my husband who weeks before told me how he would never be a Christian.
2 weeks later the Lord encountered him with peace in his sleep. He woke up and we went to church. I closed my eyes at the end of service and I raised my hands and gave my life to Jesus. When I opened my eyes I looked over to my husband and he had his hands raised too. We gave our lives at the same time.
Since then, I have laid down my job and devoted myself to waiting on the Lord and doing the works that Jesus did. I began to drive for uber and evangelized and led people to new church bodies and to Jesus. Cody started preaching the gospel on base and has seen salvations weekly.
The Lord has opened up missions for me - Raylee - through Prayer House to continue to do the works that Jesus did, follow in radical obedience and fervently trust in the Lords promises over their life. The Lord has asked me to focus on sparking the fires back in the lukewarm American Christian heart and earnestly serving those who serve in the church and in the military.
We pray that as you ask the Lord how to partner with us that He would pour out on you the blessings and promises of Malachi 3:10-12. We pray that in a decision of giving that you would actually receive more than we ever will. We pray that your generosity will light sparks of revival for marines and for those who need an encounter like I had of the love of the Lord.
We thank you that the money you are sowing is also going to Cody to help with creating a home - locally - to host the presence of the Lord, while he is gone to disciple marines and invite the healing power of Jesus to heal PTSD and depression for service members.
Thank you for sowing into our lives and for the establishing of Prayer Houses through the ministry and our own home.
Ray and Cody
