Hello! My name is Brenda Lareu. I’m from Argentina and  I’m a full-time missionary at YWAM Youth With a Mission in Granada, Spain. Â
I did my DTS when I was 17 and my main motivation was simple: to know God more and serve Him among the nations. Although my calling was not yet fully defined, I was certain that the prayer I had made at eight years old, asking for the fulfillment of Psalm 2:8, would not go unanswered. Today I’m serving the Lord in Spain.
Since I was little, I have known my desire to serve God among the nations, and my heart was deeply moved in 2018 when I first went to Spain. There, I was able to see the reality of a broken society that needs to hear about Jesus and the good news. God showed me a strategic field that was waiting to continue being sown with seeds of eternal truths, specifically with a biblical worldview that challenges the prevailing streams of thought and ideologies shaping society and directly impacting people’s lives. At the same time, there is a great need among Christians who know Jesus but require discipleship grounded in biblical truths.
The vision I received for that country and for Europe was to serve Jesus in the world of the ideas: teaching about the need for a comprehensive biblical worldview, guiding young people toward discipleship focused on biblical counseling, and at the same time creating and being part of projects that impact different areas of society with biblical principles.
Being a full-time missionary with Youth With A Mission involves living in dependence on God and faith to meet the needs as a staff, understanding that He is my greatest sustenance. This means trusting in His provision and sustaining the missionary work through donations. This relational approach allows anyone to obey the Great Commission by being supported by their own network of people who believe in this mission, rather than relying on a centralized fund from the organization.
It also requires clear and transparent communication with those who make it possible.
Currently, to continue in missions here in Europe, I need €600 per month (for food, transportation to carry out ministry, basic needs, and a monthly contribution to YWAM as base, which is used to cover basic services such as electricity, gas and water, for the house that is used as training and ministry center)
At the moment, I'm behind the December staff fee payment.
Every donation, big or small, is a step toward advancing God’s Kingdom in Europe.
Brenda
