Hi Church Family!

My name is April Thompson, I am currently serving with a missions organization called Youth With A Mission.

I attended their Discipleship Training School in October 2024 at the University of the Nations campus in Kona Hawaii.

YWAM is a missions movement that empowers young people to know God and to Make Him Known. There are YWAM bases all over the world discipling and sending out young people to be God's witnesses. YWAM firmly believes in each person using their God given gifts as a platform to show and reveal Jesus to people who don't know Him. Some examples are through Sport,Cross fit, Dance, Film, Music, Counselling, Teaching, Business, Speaking and more. I am beyond blessed to be a part of this ministry, and to see a Jesus movement in my generation.

Throughout my life God has led me and given me opportunities to share the gospel message of salvation, only through Jesus! It is on my heart to see God's Kingdom grow and the good news made known to all nations. For the missions portion of my DTS I spent some time in Nepal and India. I got to see God's love for these people and His power displayed through incredible miracles.

Since then God has ignited a passion in my heart to spread the gospel overseas. To those who have never heard the name of Jesus, and to fulfill the great commission. This coming year 2025/2026 I will be attending a Discipleship Bible School in Mexico. I will be studying the whole Bible, and also be involved in the ministries in the community there and abroad.
