Hey Everyone! My name is Austin Taylor, I am 22 years old and I am stepping back into the mission field with Fire & Fragrance Ministries! Fire & Fragrance is a community and missions movement focused on training, and sending Gen Z to the nations to share the Gospel. This past April of 2025, I did a Discipleship Training School (DTS) with a Missions organization called YWAM (Youth With A Mission) and Fire & Fragrance. During this time, I was being trained how to actually go out into the mission field and share the Gospel to unreached people groups and nations. We had many classes, worship/intercession times, and very intentional training sessions to help us truly succeed in the nations. Furthermore, I was surrounded by amazing leadership and community that truly lifts you up and holds you accountable.
With this training, I was sent with a team on a 3 month outreach to Zimbabwe! This nation was so beautiful, with beautiful people, and an amazing culture. Me and my team had the privilege of seeing God move in so many ways. I wanted to share with you some numbers we gathered from our time in Zimbabwe. We were able to see 278 salvations, distribute 130 bibles, saw 30 healings, and were able to see 5 people baptized in the nation! To only be there for a small amount of time, we were able to see so much fruit in the nation, and left knowing that a difference was made. We found people that we knew would continue sharing the Gospel in this nation and they still reach out to our team telling us the things they see God doing! Something I learned from this experience was how much God will move and reveal himself to you in your uncertainty and when you are uncomfortable with Him. Forcing yourself into a place of full dependency on Him and trusting him completely in your situation.
With that being said, this is what led me to my next decision in Missions! I will be heading back to Kona, Hawaii to the YWAM base to help staff the Youth Movement Discipleship Training School this January! I will be in Kona for three months with these students discipling them, while also serving on the base. I will have the opportunity to see more young people and Gen Z on fire for The Great Commission and helping train them to be sent into the nations for the Gospel! I am so expectant and excited for what God wants to do in these students during this time. However, I have some more exciting news to tell you about. Throughout these 3 months, I will also be working with Fire & Fragrance and a team to go out all over the USA on tour in late March-early April. We will be preaching The Great Commission all over the states, hosting events, worship/prayer nights, and championing young people all over the country to answer to the call on their lives!
We will be in living rooms, churches, college campuses, and anywhere we can get connected to, gathering as many young people as possible to see them set on fire for The Great Commission. We believe that God is doing something very special in Gen Z, and want to be able to connect them with steps and actual real ways to get into the mission field and sent to the nations. America is not too far gone, and young people are not too lost.
My heart is that we do not have to always go to some other nation or foreign country to see God move and people changed and set free. Just because America has access to the Gospel, does not mean that there are not lost people all around us that need discipleship and community in their lives. Each team will be going to a region in the U.S. for about 6 weeks going from state-to-state targeting the hearts of young people and spreading the Gospel. I am so excited to be a part of this mission, and so happy to be doing it alongside people very close to me.
So, how can you help? First and foremost, prayer is the most important way you can help in partnering with me during this time. Pray for open doors, and open hearts for the young people I will be coming in contact with and seeing throughout this ministry. That they would truly experience the love of Christ, and feel it so strongly to truly give their lives to Jesus and trust in his ways and his plan for their life. Also, you can pray for safety as I travel from place to place and state to state. Protection over me and the other teams going out as well.
Secondly, I am looking for people who would like to partner with me financially. I am currently raising $1,000-$1,500 in monthly support every month to cover the costs of rent, groceries, travel/outreach, and any other basic daily living expenses. One-time donations are of course always welcomed and if you feel led to give, truly anything helps so much!
