Hello! My name is Ashlyn Janzen. I’m bringing together a team of supporters to see the youth of South Africa come to know Jesus Christ and to make Him known throughout the nations.

Earlier this year I spent three months in South Africa on outreach, visiting five different cities, and I fell in love with this nation and its people. After spending time in several high schools and universities, I was deeply moved by the way the Lord is at work. So many students are on fire to see their communities come to know the love and life they’ve found in Jesus.

Many South Africans know the name of Jesus and have taken steps toward God, but there is still a significant need for intentional discipleship. In the midst of political and racial tensions, the Lord is moving in incredible ways, and our goal is to come alongside students — introducing them to Jesus and training them so we can see a multiplying discipleship movement: students discipling students who go on to disciple others.

Starting in January 2026, I will be attending a leadership track with Fire and Fragrance, a ministry birthed out of Youth With A Mission (YWAM), in preparation to serve full time with this missionary base. If they find me to be a good fit, I’ll be joining a team called Every, whose mission is to see discipleship movements among youth across South Africa. Through school clubs and societies, digital missions, camps, and other events, we will be mobilizing young people to walk in their identity as sons and daughters and follow Jesus into the lives of those around them. At the end of the year, we will lead teams of students to other nations so they can experience missions and be a part of what Christ is doing globally.

To cover living expenses, travel, and ministry costs, I will be raising $1,800 monthly. I would love for you to pray about partnering with me in this mission!
