We Are the Heils!

We’re a family of four committed to simply obeying Jesus and going wherever He calls us. Austin was born and raised in America, while Hannah is a Filipino who spent half her life in the Philippines and half in New Zealand before we met. We have two kids, Eliyah who is 3, and Nalu who is 1. We currently serve in the Philippines, believing that EVERY believer is called to missions—whether vocationally or in their everyday lives. Teachers and students, moms and dads, engineers and doctors, pastors and missionaries—we are ALL called to the work of ministry.

Our heart is to empower people to live out the calling on their lives—first and foremost, by loving Jesus and walking in obedience to Him. From that foundation, we help people discover and boldly step into the purpose He has placed on their lives. We do this by being deeply community-oriented, intentionally investing in people, championing their gifts, and encouraging them to pursue the vision God has given them—even if it looks different from ours. We are passionate about being a bridge—between generations, nationalities, denominations, and between believers and non-believers. We also bridge the gap between ministry and business, equipping people to live missionally in every sphere of life.

We currently serve with YWAM in the Philippines, where Austin is part of the leadership team for The Send Philippines. Alongside this, we are pioneering a ministry called Day One International—a movement dedicated to equipping and mobilizing people to live out their God-given calling. We do this through discipleship, community-driven initiatives, Kingdom-minded businesses, and creative ministry expressions.

Our first initiative, Day One Coffee, is a startup coffee shop that will hire local baristas and partner with ministries to create both a thriving business and a hub for transformation. More than just serving great coffee, we want to provide jobs, discipleship opportunities, and initiatives that bring lasting impact to the local community.

We can’t do this alone! We need your prayers and support. We firmly believe that no one is called to walk out their mission alone—we all need a community to stand with us. We desire to be surrounded by people who will champion us in what we are doing in the Philippines, just as we seek to champion others in their own callings. We also rely entirely on financial support, as we will not take any income from our business initiatives. Your generosity will go toward our family’s living costs, travel, healthcare, and daily life, allowing us to remain fully focused on ministry. If you feel led to give specifically toward Day One or any of our initiatives, please contact us so we can allocate your support accordingly.

Thank you for believing in us and for being part of this journey!
