When you and someone else are “on the same wavelength” your brains are actually oscillating in synchrony with each other—you are literally, both on the same wavelength. This phenomenon happens when people are engaged in conversation, storytelling, or even listening to music together—and this is what happened when Mike, Cultivate’s founder, originally laid out his idea for Cultivate Network to me. Cultivate Network is a mobilizing ministry, where people can encounter Jesus over the dinner table and grow in a small house church within a larger community of thriving house churches. Churches become families within 2 city blocks of each other allowing for micro-interactions that multiply into a real sense of connection. Cultivate desires for the church to rediscover her roots as a spiritual family that, like the book of Acts, “meets daily from house to house”. And this vision of a church family couldn’t be more in line with my own views and way of life. Being in each other's lives allows for deeper growth through proximity. But proximity also means being in each other's faces—in the best of ways. Cultivate doesn’t just want a church that presents an attractive life of connection to other people; we want to present reality to each other. The ups and downs, anger and support, depression and anxiety, and everything in between. I truly believe in the healing that comes through this way of life, centered around the One who brings all healing. And it’s my heart to see houses spread throughout my city of East Lansing, my state of Michigan and my country. Train them All." From September to December, I will stay in Huntington Beach, CA with about 200 other young people, going through a discipleship training school and sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ in Orange County. From January to March, I will travel to college campuses with about ten others, holding services to reach the lost and outreach events to equip the saved students on that campus to continue sharing the Gospel. I enjoyed the service but never thought too much about it after. In February 2025, I heard the Lord call me away from the plan I thought He'd given me—to live in Terre Haute, IN and pursue work in nonprofit marketing. Scared but surprisingly excited, I began praying about where and what He might have in mind for me. Funny enough, I remember having a thought about Circuit Riders during this time, but dismissed it quickly. I didn't think it was from the Lord—it seemed crazy! Later that month, Circuit Riders was on ISU's campus for two nights, and I went to both services with some friends. Immediately after the first night, my friend Ciara looked at me and asked, "Are you called to missions?" That was so out of left field, and the only word that can describe what I felt is flabbergasted! But it also felt like something was starting to click. I told her I'd pray about it and did. The next night, we gathered into groups to pray and specifically prayed for words from the Lord for each other. I was randomly sorted into a group with Ciara, a Circuit Rider missionary that I'd wanted to speak to more, and a girl who would quickly become a dear friend of mine. While praying over me, the missionary in our group told me she had heard a stampede of horses, but she didn't know what that meant. I had no clue either. Later that night, as I was getting ready for bed, I got a text from Ciara with a picture of a shirt she'd bought from Circuit Riders and the caption "Horses :)". The shirt said this: "The original Circuit Riders circa 1764 were a group of nameless and faceless young people who crisscrossed the nation on horseback, making Jesus known for the sake of their generation." My jaw hit the floor. Immediately, I knew I was called to Circuit Riders. However, I was still a tad nervous and didn't want to get ahead of the Lord. I took a while to pray and wait, but God just kept bringing a deeper peace that this was His will. I am so excited and still shocked that this is what He has next for me. In so many ways, I never could have guessed this, and yet it feels like through this He's met a desire of my heart that I've had for so long, but never recognized. He's pretty stinking good! Through an organization called Prayer House, I will be moving to Nashville for 3 months (January 31st-May 1st) in order to plant a house of prayer, a resting place for the Lord in Tennessee. Throughout these 3 months, I will cultivate my relationship with the Lord by relying on Him and committing to serving His body full-time. In addition to serving I will also be learning more about how to evangelize! Studying evangelism/outreach and how to use my gifts for the Kingdom. Now based out of the twin cities in Minnesota, my passion remains unchanged: connecting people, ideas and resources for local and Global Kingdom impact. Missionary David Ball DONATE Hey there! My name is David Ball, and I am a local missionary in Clemmons, North Carolina! I gave my life to the Lord in the Fall of my Sophomore year in high school, and since then, my goal has been to spread the good news of Jesus to everyone around me! In 2024, a couple of my friends and I started Throneroom Initiative, a ministry that aimed to create a community for believers to come together and worship the Lord in spirit and truth weekly. God blessed Throneroom in mighty ways, and we plan to continue ministering to many high schoolers and college students in the time to come! Walking with the Lord in this time, He has highlighted the spiritual hunger that is developing among the nations. I will be attending the Circuit Riders DTS in January, where I will be enabled to allow so many to quench that spiritual hunger through life in the Lord! This is a ministry I have partnered with in the past, and I have seen the way the Circuit Riders depend on the Lord to make a huge impact for his kingdom. I will be attending my lecture phase in January, where I will learn how to lead various-sized worship events and establish local ministry in foreign nations. During this time, I will live in a house in Huntington Beach, California. Then I'll leave in March for outreach! During this phase, a group of us will go to a foreign nation and host worship events, disciple the local people, and enable community leaders to carry on ministering when we leave. In the fall of 2024 I followed Him to do a discipleship Training School at YWAM Kona with Fire and Fragrance, and I've been pursuing the mission field ever since! I am currently on staff with Fire and Fragrance. Fire and Fragrance's heart is to see the Great Commission fulfilled through prayer and worship, youth movements across the globe, and sending people to the least reached places of the earth. My burning heart is to see worship and prayer arise from every nation to Jesus, the Gospel to reach the ends of the earth and Jesus to get His inheritance in every nation. In this next season I am preparing to do a Bible School called Missio Dei at the Fire and Fragrance base in Nashville, TN. While I was on outreach this past year I felt a deeper hunger grow in me for the Word and felt an invitation from Him to go deeper in the Scriptures. I believe this school will deeply impact my relationship with the Lord while also further equipping me for discipleship as I pursue missions. Missionary Isaiah Zetterberg DONATE I believe that my generation consumed with love for Jesus and the lost is the solution to every tribe, tongue, and nation. The news headlines will say that Gen Z is the most lost generation. I can’t help but believe that the enemy only pursues who he feel threatens by. I can personally testify of the wonder working power of the gospel in my life. One encounter of His love put on display through the cross set me free of addiction, insecurity, comparison, and shame. In return He gave me identity, purpose, security, joy, and greatest of all HIMSELF! I have seen God move in 100’s of young peoples lives in this same way. Some are now in the nations reaching unreached villages in Nepal while others are at home seeing their friends and family saved! My heart burns for my generation across America to accept the invitation that Jesus has extended to them to partner with Him to see the great commission completed. In Isaiah 6, Isaiah see’s a vision of the Lord seated on the throne and His glory filling the temple. In this vision the Lord asks the host of heaven “Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?” Then Isaiah responded, “Here I am! Send me!” Isaiah saw the need for a messenger to be sent to Israel and he volunteered himself to be the answer! I believe that this will be the response of my generation! They just need to be aware that there is a need, that they have been called, and that they have permission! I have moved to Nashville Tennessee as a full time missionary to America through Fire & Fragrance Nashville to train, equip, and send young people into the nations of the earth! We are running tours across America holding gatherings in churches, schools, and homes to bring missional awareness and provide opportunities to go to the nations through our 6 month Discipleship training school! We believe that God has chosen Nashville Tennessee to be a sending city. That we will see another Jesus movement come out of Nashville that will usher in revival to America that would result in thousands of young people giving up their lives for the gospel in every nation on earth! I have been with CR since its beginning in 2011 and have helped empower people, especially students on universities, to know and love God, share the gospel, make disciples, and be involved with the advancement of the Kingdom both locally and globally. While the US we accomplished this through university events, training schools, and stadium events, here in Sydney we are focusing on creating hubs with hungry leaders in each of the main cities in Australia, and then bringing training and equipping weekends/weeks to them and helping them start house churches to see the work multiply, all while discipling/empowering the leaders of each of these hubs via FaceTime.
