Missionary Glory Carrillo DONATE Hey friends! My name is Glory and I am currently serving with a missions organization called Youth With A Mission (YWAM). YWAM is a missions organization that believes each person has a God-given calling and wants to help equip people to fulfill that calling. In Matthew 28:19, Jesus calls all of us to “go and make disciples of all the nations…”. We all have a part to play in the great commission and bringing forth the good news. The heart of YWAM is to prepare and send people from every nation to every nation with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. In 2022, I attended a Discipleship Training School (DTS) with YWAM in Kona, Hawaii. The goal of DTS is to help the students know God more intimately and to learn how to make God known. It was during this time that God really gave me a heart for missions and discipleship. My heart is that people who have never heard the name of Jesus would come to know who He is and His love for them! I completed my DTS in March of 2023 and I felt the Lord asking me to staff a Discipleship Training School. I said yes to what God was asking, and that fall I staffed a DTS with YWAM Kona and ended up leading a team to Cyprus. My team served with two families that had recently moved to Cyprus as long term missionaries. In this time we got to see God do amazing miracles in the people we met there. We saw God reveal Himself as a loving God through His word and through prayer and worship. It was amazing to see people who had never heard of Jesus come to know and understand the Gospel! Before my team left Cyprus, we got to pass on a thriving women’s Bible study, a men’s Bible study, as well as a small church body to the long term team! God did so much in such little time and I know He is not done. After coming home, the Lord put it on my heart to return to Cyprus to continue to be a part of what He is doing there. In September of this year, I officially moved to Cyprus to join the long term team in the North. I am currently attending a three month leadership training school that will help equip me to do missions in a Muslim context, as well as give me tools for doing missions sustainably. It has been my greatest honor to come alongside what God is doing in the lives of others and I cannot wait to see what He has in store as our team continues to build ministry here in Cyprus. I am very excited for the things that God has asked me to be a part of, but I can not do it alone. I would love to ask if you would be a part of what God is asking me to do as well! Missionary Angel Ochieng DONATE My name is Angel Ochieng a follower of Jesus Christ, a Virginia Tech student, and someone whose life has been radically transformed by the grace of God. I grew up in the church, but it wasn't until college that my faith truly became my own. When I arrived at Virginia Tech, I encountered Chi Alpha Campus Ministry and for a while, I ran. But God, in His faithfulness, didn't let me go. Since then, God has placed a burning burden on my heart for the lost and has given me a passion for evangelism and mission work that I cannot ignore. I currently serve with Chi Alpha at Virginia Tech as a Discipleship Team Member. This summer, I will be participating in Chi Alpha's Summer Internship Program, where I will be further developed as a leader and minister of the gospel on my campus and beyond. Missionary John Zliczewski DONATE Hi, Im John Zliczewski and I am apart of YWAM (Youth with a Mission) in Kona Hawaii. YWAM is an organization that has the desire to "Know God and make Him Known." It's such an honor to be used by God in this way to be a part of peoples lives on their journey of wanting to grow in their relationship with God. I love how YWAM encourages us to pursue God and our skills/passions to further the Kingdom of God. Being able to care for the flock of people that God puts in my path, and encourage them to choose God over the world, is one of the best feelings despite the challenges that come up. I am currently on staff with the School of Worship. School of Worship is designed to disciple worshippers in their God given identity and God given gifts. Some of the topics we go over in our curriculum is What is Biblical worship?, Leadership, The Holy Spirit, Songwriting, Production, Band dynamics, instrument lessons, and much more. Our hope is to have people who feel called to follow their passion in music and to follow God, to give them tools and a good understanding of how to blend them. Then wherever they go they will have these teachings and experiences look back on and do them with excellence. I also have been able to help with student and staff care with the School and I am really excited to be able to make sure when people are a part of our school they know they are cared for and seen. School of Worship also includes a 3 month optional outreach to many different nations. One of our values is to release the sound of the nations. In this value We are starting to help other believers to have worship music in their own languages and encouraging them to use scripture in their music. This is especially great if they don't have the Bible in their language because through music they can use that to memorize parts of the Bible!!
