Operation Uganda
Mission Organization
Operation Uganda is faith based a non-profit organization that has been working in Uganda since 2005, and with your help we rescue and care for orphaned and vulnerable children and create sustainable community development projects in Uganda, one of the poorest countries in the world.

Operation Uganda focuses primarily on the most vulnerable and destitute children. All the children in our scholarship program must meet a strict criteria of being either orphaned or vulnerable. The women in our empowerment projects are either widowed or solo mothers in destitute situations. Your support makes a real difference to the world's most needy.

Together we can bring hope and long lasting change to some of the poorest communities in Uganda.

Operation Uganda was founded by Russ and Jenny Barton who are both credentialed ministers, Russ and Jenny moved to Uganda where they lived with their four children, their journey began after hearing the statistics and seeing the injustice they packed their suitcases and headed for Uganda. Russ and Jenny have a clear vision to empower communities in Uganda and help end the cycle of poverty, one child at a time, one community at a time. Russ and Jenny regularly speak in churches, community groups and schools to raise awareness and promote projects in Uganda as well as running the ministry in Uganda, today Operation Uganda supports over 1,300 orphaned and vulnerable children through their scholarship program keeping children living within a family environment, as well as several community development projects and programs, planting churches and discipleship programs.
