YWAM Sakura is a ministry that has a call to train children of Brazilians born in Japan.  Because they speak the language, understand the culture and are immersed in Japanese society, they can reach them with the gospel.

In the 2000's Loren Cunningham, founder of YWAM, gave a word to the descendants of Japanese who were born in Brazil, that they would be the key to the evangelization of the Japanese. In the 1990s, many Brazilian descendants of Japanese families returned to Japan in search of work and stayed there, thus creating this generation of Brazilians.

Japan has the second largest group of people unreached by the gospel. Only 1% of the population of Japan are Christians. It is an open nation, but it is one of the least evangelized countries in the world. Japan has only 1 missionary for every 63 thousand people.

We are here in Japan to share the gospel to the Japanese people, using sports, arts and YWAM Courses.

We want to be a channel of blessings and transformation in this nation.

We want to invite you to be part of this and make Jesus known in this nation. COME WITH US ON THIS!
