Hello, my name is Whitney Brooke Schlender.

I was born and raised in Bozeman Montana. I have lived in Corvallis Oregon for the last 8 months working for an agency called KIDS NW where I had the opportunity to work with individuals with developmental disabilities.  While in Corvallis, I also attended school for a short period of time. My plan was to stay there and go to Esthetician school, however I feel the Lord calling me to YWAM to do a Discipleship Training School. I will be heading to Kona Hawaii in September of 2023 to join the University of the Nations.

Youth with a mission(YWAM) is a global movement of Chrisitans from all around the world dedicated to serving Jesus throughout the entire world. I am choosing to do a Discipleship Training School (DTS) which is a 6 month program where I will be spending 3 months in Kona Hawaii in a missions-focused community learning about and being disciplined in living out my faith and how to share that with others. Following that I will spend approximately 3 months living as a missionary in a foreign country, discipling the nations and sharing the love of Jesus with others who may have never heard of the gospel.

God calls us to “GO make disciples of all nations” (Matthew 28:19) He also says “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.”(Mark 16:15). This is exactly what I am going to be doing with YWAM. I am beyond excited to see what the Lord has in store for me, and how he is going to use my story to impact others.

If you feel led to support me there are a couple ways you can do that! First I am in need of lots of prayer for guidance and peace for this next season of my life. Also prayer for safe travels as well as friendships and community.

Second is that you can support me is financially. With Lecture and Outreach phases combined I am needing to raise approximately $8,000.
