Hi, my name is Fe Wendy Esperanza Bautista. I am 43 years old. I’m married to a godly man which whom I have four children: a son, Jesus David (13) and three daughters: Deborah (11), Zipporah (10), and Esperanza (5).
I was born into a Christian home with my parents and 5 siblings. For as long as I can remember, I have loved God. I believe in Jesus as my only and sufficient Savior and in the presence of the Holy Spirit. My family and I have always attended the various services held both inside and outside of the church. Some years ago, I lost one of my brothers who was only 17 years old. Years later, my mother also passed away. These were very difficult times for our family, but God gave us His peace through them, and we understood that dying in Christ is gain. HALLELUJAH!
I am currently studying Computer Science. I’m excited to see how I can glorify God through this new set of skills I’m gaining! I believe His purpose for me on this earth is still standing and I want to give by grace what I have received by grace. Leaving my children with the legacy of following God and teaching them to always remember His word that says: “And behold, I am with you always, until the end of the age.” Matthew 28:20
Fight is a ministry that focuses on the restoration of young girls through the Word and love of Christ. Its mission is to rehabilitate underage girls in the Dominican Republic who are victims of human trafficking. I work at Fight as a cook. I’m in charge of the kitchen and everything that comes with being a cook. I work alongside a nutritionist who oversees the nutrition of the girls and the entire staff. I ask God every day to help me do my best and I season the food thinking on the health and well-being of the girls and others, and to do everything as if it were for Him.
Having prayerful and financial support from other brothers and sisters is very important because it strengthens our faith, and when others pray for you and the ministry, it provides a sense of spiritual support that can be very encouraging in times of trials. Likewise, prayerful and financial support is essential for the operation of the ministry and fosters an environment where everyone can grow spiritually and contribute to the well-being of those being helped. This allows me to fully dedicate myself to my work as a cook, ensuring that the girls receive not only nutritious food but also the love and dedication they need.
God bless you!
Wendy
