Hello! My name is Matthew Hanna. I am a full-time missionary with YWAM (Youth With A Mission) Circuit Riders in Huntington Beach, California!
As many of you know, I just finished college this past year at Oral Roberts University with a BA in Ministry and Leadership. Throughout my time at ORU, if it’s something that God has branded my heart with...it is reaching my generation with the love and message of Jesus.
Throughout college, I lived missionally, sharing the Gospel regularly with the lost and discipling believers and spurring them on to represent Jesus in whatever context of life they found themselves called to.
But in the last year, I’ve seen the Lord solidify my call to be a full-time missionary and Evangelist to my generation and to the nations. Towards the middle of my senior year, the Lord spoke to me, called me back to California, and called me to join a missions community called Circuit Riders under YWAM once I graduated.
Circuit Riders is a YWAM mission and training community that launches movements to reach the next generation. Our passion is Jesus, our mission field is our generation, and our opportunity is now.
In Circuit Riders, I am part of our ministry campaign to college campuses called "Carry The Love." CTL exists to reach a lost and broken generation with the message of Jesus and activate believers to a lifestyle of love and evangelism. Since its start in 2013, we've seen thousands saved and ten of thousands commissioned to reach their campus with the love of Jesus on college campuses across America, Europe, and East Africa and this is just the beginning!
I will be coming on Staff with Circuit Rider this fall to work full time as an Evangelist and Missionary in our Carry The Love department!
Before that, Starting this June, along with some dear friends of mine from around the country, I will be helping build a house of prayer called LA Prayer House right in the heart of Los Angeles to create a space that will unify the City of LA around ministry to the Lord and prayer. We desire to build a resting place for the Lord in one of the most influential cities in the world knowing that His presence transforms entire cities. Out of this house of prayer we will be running a discipleship program called Braveheart all summer to raise up happy and free followers of Jesus that burn for the Gospel and live out everything Jesus intended for them! I AM BEYOND EXCITED TO BE A PART OF THIS!
As I endeavor into this Holy calling, I desire to do it with a community and team of supporters who will join and invest in me in this long-term journey.
