Since before I gave my life to Jesus, He had a purpose and a plan for my life. It’s funny how the Lord plants dreams in you that have a Kingdom purpose, long before you know why they are there for yourself. Throughout middle and high school, I found myself on mission trips with a church I seldom attended. With every trip I fell in love with missions more and more. I remember thinking to myself, “this is what I want to do with my life.” This is where the Lord met me for the first time. He revealed to me that my purpose was to love Him, and my calling was to serve his people, and bring them to this same purpose!
I’ve been a full time missionary with YWAM Honolulu for two years now, absolutely in awe of God’s presence in my life and the lives of those around me. Through YWAM I have received a globally recognized certification in TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) and have been teaching English as a Second Language weekly to the large Asian international population here on the Island. This includes college students, to senior citizens, each student having a special place in my heart. I get to train and certify new English teachers every summer as well!
In 2022, I graduated from a Bible Core Course that has equipped me to bring Bible teaching to students and the community.
Mongolia is where I want to bring Biblical literacy next. The Bible has only recently been translated in the Mongolian language within the last 30 years, most of the nation still being unreached. In 2023, I had the privilege of giving a group of Mongolian youth their very first Bibles, and I got to see them transformed by learning the story of God and his people for the first time, and realizing just how loved they are!My heart was forever marked by this experience.
My goal is to bring more Bible and English education to this beautiful nation, and see it reached by the truth and love of Jesus!
