Hi I’m Devonya

I’m a full-time missionary on staff with Circuit Riders (empowered by YWAM) in Huntington Beach, CA.

Back in 2020, I was hit with such a burden from the racial unrest that was happening in our nation. I knew the Lord was calling me to bring solutions to a black generation, but didnt know what that looked like. It wasn't until August 2021, when I went to the first Black Voices gathering where the Lord began to give me language for the burden I was carrying in my heart.

Within Circuit Riders I’ve been serving this movement. Black Voices is a missional organization that empowers young black leaders to walk in their Christ centered calling. My role on staff is what we consider Tour Circle. I get the opportunity to plan an HBCU (Historically Black Colleges and Universities) tour and go on outreach. This past spring me and my co leaders planned an HBCU tour in the Southeast region! We went to 16 different HBCUs, we saw 1,043 gathered, and 463 decisions for Christ in just 8 weeks! I’ve come to learn more than ever that the harvest is indeed ripe. The Lord just needs someone who’ll say “Send me I’ll go”!

I’m going into my 2nd year of being on staff with Circuit Riders and soon there will be opportunities to serve  Black Voices internationally as well. The Bible says that people from every nation, tribe, and tongue are around the throne of God (Revelation 7:9). The African diaspora is a part of Jesus’ inheritance and through my life I want Him to receive the full reward of His suffering.

I know everyone isn't called to be a missionary in this way, but there are people who are called to help fund the vision. Would you prayerfully consider partnering with me financially to see the Kingdom of God move throughout an entire generation!
