Dear loving friends and family, these past few years have been such a whirlwind! I am so so grateful for everything the Lord has brought me through, and the people He put in my life that continue to teach me so much.

I graduated high school with a diploma in April of 2022. After that, I started pursuing my automotive career when I was 15. I am currently 17 years old and work as an apprentice at KarMart Maui. I have an ASE certification in Manual Drivetrain and Axles. I intend to have an additional certification in Engines by the end of this semester. I love my job so much along with the classes I am taking at UHMC (University of Hawaii Maui College), but these are all things I want. I never stopped to ask if this is what HE wants for me, which leads me to talk about the next chapter of my life.

“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations…” Matthew 28:19. In January of 2024. I plan to go to a Youth With A Mission Discipleship Training School (otherwise known as YWAM). This is a six month program where we will learn how to be disciples and share Gods word in the hard to reach places. If I’m being 100% honest with all of you guys, I am more Nervi pi’s than excited. Leaving my amazing job, friends, and most of all Hudson, and my family is the LAST thing I want to do. But this trip is not about me. God has called me to go and as hard as it is, I’m choosing to listen.

The school I am going to is located in Perth, Australia. It is a 4-wheel drive adventure where we will spend 3 months in the lecture phase followed by another 3 months in outreach phase. The lecture phase is where we will dive deep into Gods word, plant a firm foundation for the rest of our lives, and focus on growing our relationship with God. The outreach phase is where we will go on an international mission and apply everything we learned from the lecture phase into real life situations. I am not sure where we will be traveling internationally yet, but last year the team went to Egypt and Nepal.

I would love support from you! Spiritual support is the most helpful thing I could get right now. I would appreciate it if you could keep me in your prayers and tell anyone you feel led, about this adventure I’m going on. If you want to support me with donations that would also be awsome. The whole mission costs $9,500 maximum, and any form of help would be wonderful. If you can’t support me financially, that’s totally okay!

Thank you so much for reading this letter. I hope you have a blessed day.

Love you, Alana

P.S. I will have an Instagram account updating everyone on what we’re doing, how the trio is going, all the creepy crawlies we see in Australia, and so much more. Please follow along
